The fight between Belarusian Vladislav Kovalev, nicknamed Belaz, and Brazilian Douglas Ribeiro will headline the Ural FC 7 tournament, a NEWS.ru correspondent reports. The mixed martial arts evening will take place on May 23 in Tolyatti.
Former Hardcore FC champion Kovalev will compete in the Ural FC league for the third time. In December 2023, the fighter defeated Brazilian Vella Oliveira by technical knockout in the second round. Of the six fights under MMA rules, Kovalev won four, with two defeats. Ribeiro has 13 wins and eight losses in MMA.
On April 18, another fight according to the rules of mixed martial arts was announced : within the framework of the “Our Business 83” fight league, the Russian fighter of the “Our Business” promotion, Alexander Grozin, nicknamed the Ural gangster, will fight against ex-UFC fighter Alex Oliveira. The fight will take place on May 25 at the Red Arena in Sochi.
Earlier, Russian mixed martial arts fighter, Bellator title holder Alexander Shlemenko said that Irish mixed martial arts fighter Conor McGregor will lose the fight with Michael Chandler. The athlete admitted that the fight could end early with a knockout.
